Welcome to Shady Creek Labradoodles

My name is Nikki Reed. I am the owner and breeder of Shady Creek Labradoodles. With the of help my husband and family I began breeding Australian Labradoodles in 2018. Dogs have held a central role in my home from the very beginning.

As a kiddo, I developed allergies and struggled to be comfortable around shedding dogs and cats. I began searching for breeds I didn’t have a reaction to. A Tibetan Terrier, a Poodle and several Portuguese Water Dogs made life with allergies so much more comfortable. The Australian Labradoodle’s non-shedding coat, playful demeanor, willingness, eagerness, trainability… basically their approach to life, won me over. These dogs are so stinking fun! My goal is to breed healthy, friendly, companion puppies to extend the joy and comfort I have found through my lifelong journey with dogs. What I enjoy most if seeing my love of dogs impact the lives of so many.

Our breeding dogs undergo extensive health testing to meet the Gold Paw standard of the Australian Labradoodle Association of America (ALAA). This ensures you receive a healthy, happy dog with proper socialization training.

Breeding healthy dogs

We adhere to the strict guidelines and standards set by the Australian Labradoodle Association of America (ALAA), which is why our breeding dogs undergo the following extensive health testing:

  • Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) hips and elbows testing
  • Patellas
  • FA Eye Certification exams (previously “CERF” exams)
  • Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) profiling
  • Microchipping
  • Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) testing
  • And more
